IN 2007, BACK WHEN THERE WERE NO

Rio de Janeiro_3_edited.jpg

Instagram or Facebook (at least not for us Brazilians), my favorite hobby was writing — chronicles, poetry, and sometimes a few sideways critiques.

The internet was still a place for reading, quiet moments, and sharing. There were blogs, dated posts, and full stops.

Over time, technology gave me a lot — that’s true. But it also took something precious: that slow, magnificent habit of writing without pressure, without algorithms, without performance.

Now, tired of feeds, selfies, #tbts, and the constant need to be visible, I’ve decided to come back. To return to who I am when I’m not in airplane mode of the soul.

This blog is my way of reconnecting with what’s essential to me: feelings, commas, and words — as if it were still 2007.
